The course is delivered at your premises, so you don’t need to travel. It’s ideal if your organisation needs to train more than one employee to become a DSE Assessor as you can be sure they’re trained to the same high standard at the same time.

One day (6 hours teaching time).
Who is the course for?
The IOSH Approved DSE Assessor Training course is for anyone who has been nominated to carry out workstation risk assessments on behalf of their company, e.g. occupational health advisers, line managers, supervisors, HR officers or health and safety officers.

Who teaches the course?
Angela Hinton MCSP HPC, a Chartered Physiotherapist with over 24 years of experience of treating musculoskeletal and work-based injuries. Angela regularly carries out standard and advanced DSE risk assessments for companies across the country, including the DWP, UK Border Force and HMRC.
Angela (Bsc Hons), holds a TechIOSH membership, and holds an accredited level three qualification.
How is the course delivered?
The course is both theory-based and practical.
Throughout the day, your employees will be tested with open questions, group discussions and demonstrations. To help them embed their knowledge and increase their confidence in their new skills, they’ll carry out a mock DSE assessment under the supervision of the trainer.
End of course assessment
Participants will complete two assessment papers at the end of the day.
A comprehensive training manual will be provided along with a customisable electronic assessment form template for your employees to adapt and use when conducting their own assessments.

Our DSE Assessor Training course is also available delivered remotely via Zooms/Teams, on the last Thursday of every month.

The course is interactive and requires the full engagement of delegates to ensure effective learning, and create a high-level of delegate satisfaction.
